Conscious World Citizens Academy

We have created the Conscious World Citizen Academy for those who seek to be in service to a new time – to teach, to show, to guide, to lead and inspire – alongside others.
Centered around a deeper insight into the way we can address and implement the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals from a new level of Conscious Alignment to a different purpose (the SDGAs). These programs demonstrate the Integral Learning Process that Ken Wilber and others have endorsed as being ‘essential’ to a different future.
A living pathway of integral learning supports a new way of discovering one’s part inside the issues of our time. It is connected to our deeper urge to play a mature part in a new future and not just impose more solutions on the world from the current level of thinking.
Academy members have access to the programs we delivered in part or in full as consultants to diplomats at the United Nations Headquarters and internationally in Universities, Schools and Colleges, to business leaders and to groups of coaches, leaders, scientists…
For those people who want to help bring this level of human response to others, we are sharing this work and offering teleconferences and live sessions.

Conscious World Citizens - Rapid transformation in a time of change
There is much talk today about the need for a rapid transformation now made ever more urgent by the failure of policies and thinking to stem the tide of breakdown in the world around us. We frame this in terms of it being already late to respond as time runs out before civilization collapse.
SEEING...WHAT IS
Our struggle to succesfully address significant challenges is limited as a consequence of ourselves not SEEING the whole picture. The essential shift to a new level and vantage point shows that the human response to living in our world has largely been confined to an adolescent (not yet fully evolved) phase of growing up and that only the unfolding of our next evolutionary step (adulthood) can a harmonious level of living be joined. Doing more at our current level cannot bring about any different result. Until we SEE this we cannot change.
THE CHANGE SEQUENCE
We SEE at first only that segment of WHAT IS when we are made aware of the outer world – the world ‘out there’ as viewed from the world ‘in here’. The daily breaking news, the images and real life catastrophes, the floods…. these catch our attention as alarming and threatening features in the environment as they have done throughout our evolutionary history.
In the next phase of the sequence of SEEING...WHAT IS, we come to realize and acknowledge that we are also responsible for what is ‘out there’ from an increasing awareness of ourselves and what we cause from ‘in here’. This focuses us on our responsibility for what is out there that SEES (perceives) the consequences of our actions
– we become aware of ourselves and the outer world – each connected to the other.
We are more and more informed by science of the link between human behavior and thinking and these extreme events that we have caused. We have only a vague sense of responsibility that ‘we’ (society, history, culture, our country) are directly the cause and the sequence stops here. ‘We’ will inevitably focus our efforts on ourselves changing the world – with all the resources available to us.
Once one PERCEIVES this – we become personally responsible if we continue to act from this level where our focus of response is upon our (from the inside) impact on the world (outside).
To allow a further unfolding of this sequence brings a new level of conscious SEEING that the planet and ourselves are an integral part of WHAT IS, not part of two different realities and this causes a mindfulness of our part to play living here. This sequence begins the essential shift.
SEEING – PERCEIVING - CONSCIOUSNESS
Unless we are able to act as an integrated part of the whole we can only focus on that segment of WHAT IS that we perceive to be wrong rather than to consciously SEE the interconnected whole of which we are a living part.
This sequence underpins human evolution. From the rudimentary levels of SEEING the world to the highly evolved levels of consciousness (barely unlocked) we humans are in the trace of growth. We are entering a time of evolutionary change, a shift to a more conscious model….
CURRENT INITIATIVES
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the worlds attempt to encourage a return to a sustainable world, are written from the awareness and perception of what is ‘wrong’ (poverty inequality, war, global warming) with the implication that we are responsible to fix them. This is inherent in the language of the SDGs – that with effort we can ‘make’ the world sustainable again.
They have had a limited impact. Reducing dependency on fossil fuels, better mediating conflict, ensuring the most vulnerable have access to the basics of living, yes, these are natural responses to the global crisis but even with international attempts to co-ordinate response little has changed and certainly efforts fall far short of the goals we set to avert civilization breakdown before it is too late.
CONSCIOUS WORLD VIEW
The SDG Alignments (the book about this work made for the UN by the author) is now being made broadly available to every person that wants to engage in this work. It shows the way, when we look at the world from a unity of self and the planet we can envision a new world that we are joined to from a new level of consciousness.
